Artists Lewis ‘Lew’ Schnellmann and Elizabeth Manfred held an exhibit of their work at the DeGrazia Little Gallery here in Tucson, Arizona this past week.  The Little Gallery specializes on spotlighting local Arizona artists and this exhibit was a wonderful example of this. The light and color in the pieces reflected the feeling of this area beautifully.

Lew and Elizabeth live in Oracle, Arizona for part of the year,  just north of Tucson, where you may visit  their studio. Their website has information on it about both artists and how to reach them. DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun is located at 6300 N Swan.

La Encantada is hosting an art fair this weekend. Local Tucson Arizona artists are displaying their paintings, photography, drawings and all sorts of art forms. The weather is perfect here in Tucson. It was 81* today. Below are a few of the artists I met.

The featured artists, Veta and Daniel Carney will be exhibiting their work from January 2 – 13th, 2012 at DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, Little Gallery. Their “Dry Heat” works of flame and fused glass is fascinating.

I enjoy going to DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun and especially enjoy this room. There are new pieces that have been ‘hidden away’ at the owner’s residences that come into view when they are put up for sale. These are always pieces that are a delight to see.

Lisa Marie Morrison is exhibiting her work this week at DeGrazia’s Little Gallery, here in Tucson, Arizona.

Necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets are her specialty. Her classic, simple silversmith designs are beautifully accentuated by gemstones. Lisa’s work may also be viewed on her website,  Sirocco Design.

Ralph Prata will be exhibiting at DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun’s Little Gallery through January 28, 2011.

His timeless images are both carved and cast individually. You may visit Ralph’s website to view his work. His limited edition, sculptural concrete carvings may also be viewed at Qdoba Mexican Grill restaurants across the United States.

Matthew Moutafis “Visions and Illuminations” works of art will be on display at De’Grazia’s Little Gallery until December 3rd, 2010. Matthew has lived in Arizona for most of his life, and is originally from New York City. His art projects include designing the town of Oro Valley’s logo.

Located at 6300 N Swan Rd, the Little Gallery hosts local artists during the winter months.  There is a wonderful, warm fire in the kiva fireplace.
