Finx Sculpture Artist Antonio Falcon at the Metal Arts Village in Tucson Arizona

The contemporary sculpture of artist Antonio Falcon, Jr of Finx Sculpture is located in Studio C, at The Metal Arts Village in Tucson, Arizona. His work depicts Native American Indian dancers, Day of the Dead figures and the culture here in Arizona, and Mexico.

Antonio is not only a sculptor, but an educator as well. His work is on exhibit in his working studio, and he may be reached at 520-401-1540, or by email. He also offers welding services.

The Metal Arts Village is made up of working studios of local artists. There will be a Full Moon Open Studio event on February 7, 2012 from 5-8pm. For more information visit their website.

McBride’s Framing Gallery in Tucson Arizona

Originally from Blythe, CA, Tad McBride’s work hangs in the gallery owned by his family. His photographs of landscapes, sunsets, rainbows, cacti, mountains and rock formations are a delight to see, and are for sale in the gallery.

A new book has been published with his southwest images and is now available at McBride’s Framing Gallery.

January is a beautiful month to see Sabino Canyon here in Tucson. Perfect place for a leisurely walk with the family, on the paved road. Or, the tram will take you the whole way if you’d like. Great hiking trails too.

January 8th 2012 in Tucson Arizona – It was One Year Ago Today

One year ago today Gabby Giffords was shot and six people lost their lives here in Tucson. Numerous people were also shot.

I arrived shortly after it happened last year, and went back today. Here are the pictures I took today.

Veta and Daniel Carney ~ Glass Artists at DeGrazia’s Little Art Gallery in Tucson Arizona

The featured artists, Veta and Daniel Carney will be exhibiting their work from January 2 – 13th, 2012 at DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, Little Gallery. Their “Dry Heat” works of flame and fused glass is fascinating.
